Korean marble company, Total Marble, reached out to international designers to create products using offcuts of marble slabs and organized an exhibition to showcase the results. KUO DUO designed a low table collection called SEN.

Barcelona-based fashion brand Paloma Wool has teamed up with Seoul-based design studio KUO DUO to create special pop-up space for the brand's first showcase in Korea. To celebrate circularity of NIKE's new sustainable shoes project called ISPA Link Axis, KUO DUO participated in an exhibition organized by NIKE Seoul and created a FOLD PLASTIC Collection which is a new experiment to create sofa by folding the recycled plastic boards.

"The Kerf Plastic chair stems from Kuo Duo’s experimentation with recycled plastic boards, which revealed plywood-like characteristics. The adaptation of the kerf bending woodworking technique – traditionally used on wood – allows Kuo Duo to bend thick plastic boards into graceful curves without heat, glue or chemicals." Two designers used their respective techhniques and various materials to create own objects such as basket, vessel and vase. KD presented their new work ‘Weave Plastic Basket’ alongside their existing work, ‘Reel Basket’ and ‘Fire Wood Vessel’.

Re;Collective exhibition, held by Korean fashion brand Re;Code, is a collection of works by international designers under the theme of ‘Upcycle’. For Milan design show 2023, the brand has team up with Jo Nagasaka and Schemata Architects for the curation of the show and site installation. KUO DUO showcased new piece of furniture called KERF PLASTIC CHAIR & ARMCHAIR, the result of their current experiments using recycled plastic.

Recycled plastic manufacturer Just Project and No Plastic Sunday has collaborated with furniture designers to promote the material by creating objects and showcasing it through exhibition. KD designed 12 modular stools to highlight the material’s diverse colors and textures, like as the physical color wheel. A multitude of configurations can be created by mixing and arranging the modules.

KD’s solo show <WORD PLAY> is the first exhibition they introduce the concept and three results of ‘WORD PLAY’. It consists of MIX WOOD, PEEL WOOD, and FIRE WOOD, conducted through the act of ‘mixing, peeling, and firing’ the material ‘wood’, as the name of each work refers to. It is an experimental collection of furniture and objects that they have studied how one material, wood, interpreted into different archetypes through different methods.

The MMCA Performing Arts 2022: Museum-Carbon-Project is a reflective program in the form of a series of multidisciplinary events, all of which question how we should respond to climate change in the Anthropocene. KUO DUO operated the programme of workshops and talks featuring the material ‘Mushroom Mycelium’, organized in the framework of Future Materials programme of the Jan van Eyck Academie. Each Encounter features a specific material of the online Bank, creating an opportunity to share knowledges, experiences, and perspectives between online and offline communities of creative makers.
